JJ-CCR or Evolution Air Diluent Diver 30m

Course Outline

With TDI, there are multiple CCR Courses available depending on your certifications, needs and experience.  The Air Diluent Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) Course is your first step into rebreather diving and your first truly quiet diving experience. Using the latest in technology, CCR’s maximize your gas supply of Nitrox and provide the optimum breathing gas for any depth by maintaining a constant partial pressure of oxygen (PPO2). This course develops the required abilities, knowledge and techniques to dive responsibly and safely with the closed circuit JJ-CCR rebreather within sport diving and no-decompression limits.

During the dives (minimum of seven) your TDI Instructor will teach you all the necessary skills to conduct CCR dives to a maximum depth of 30 m/100 feet.

*The TDI CCR manual provides general information about rebreather diving, what to expect as well as problem solving and protocol. However, the unit specific manual must be studied prior to undergoing any training.

Pre-requisites

  • Minimum age 18
  • Provide proof of 20 logged open water dives. If completing a unit crossover, provide proof of 10 logged CCR dives in the last 12 months.
  • Provide proof as a TDI Nitrox Diver or equivalent from agencies recognised by TDI
  • *Nitrox diver and/or Advanced Nitrox diver may be combined with this course

It is the second level certification course for divers wishing to utilize a closed circuit rebreather (CCR) for air or helitrox decompression diving. This course is suitable for technical divers wishing to transition from open to closed circuit.

The objective of the course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving a CCR and to develop advanced CCR diving skills. To a maximum depth of 40 metres / 150 feet using an air diluent for formal decompression diving or 45m using Helitrox.

Pre-requisites

  • Minimum age 18
  • Provide proof of 50 logged dives. If completing a unit crossover, at least
  • 10 logged CCR dives in the last 12 months.
