JJ-CCR or Evolution Air Diluent Diver 30m

Course Outline

The TDI Air Diluent Closed Circuit Diver Course is your first step into closed circuit rebreather diving (CCR Diving) and your first truly quiet diving experience. Using the latest in technology, CCR’s maximize your gas supply of Nitrox and provide the optimum breathing gas for any depth by maintaining a constant partial pressure of oxygen (PPO2). This course develops the required abilities, knowledge and techniques to dive responsibly and safely with the closed circuit JJ-CCR rebreather within sport diving and no-decompression limits..

During the dives (minimum of seven) your TDI Instructor will teach you all the necessary skills to conduct CCR dives to a maximum depth of 30 m/100 feet.

*The TDI CCR manual provides general information about rebreather diving, what to expect as well as problem solving and protocol. However, the unit specific manual must be studied prior to undergoing any training.

Pre-requisites

  • Minimum age 18
  • Provide proof of 20 logged open water dives. If completing a unit crossover, provide proof of 10 logged CCR dives in the last 12 months.
  • Provide proof as a TDI Nitrox Diver or equivalent from agencies recognised by TDI
  • *Nitrox diver and/or Advanced Nitrox diver may be combined with this course

JJ-CCR or Evolution Mixed Gas Diver 60m

Course Outline:

This is the intermediate level certification course for divers wishing to utilize a CCR for mixed gas diving. The objective of the course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for mixed gas diving on the unit specific CCR, utilizing a mixed gas diluent containing 16 percent or greater oxygen, and to develop intermediate CCR diving skills appropriate to technical diving to a maximum depth of 60 metres / 200 feet.

Pre-requisites

  • Minimum age 18
  • Provide a verified log of a minimum of 50 rebreather hours distributedover a minimum of 50 dives on the specific rebreather. Valid logged divesmust be deeper than 9 metres / 20 feet, at least 20 must be deeper than 30 metres / 100 feet, and at least 10 dives requiring staged decompression.
  • If the diver has 50 hours on another CCR unit recognised by TDI, only25 hours/25 dives are required to be on the specific unit.
  • If completing a unit crossover, provide proof of at least 10 logged CCR dives in the last 12 months.
